Dave Smith

Dave Smith Formerly of the StormExchange and the Chicago Mercantile Exchange, Smith's focus is on adding weather derivatives related information to MarketsWiki, as well as other subjects, while also pursuing other opportunities in weather derivatives.
Smith was previously vice president of sales and trading solutions for StormExchange, a firm that offering weather risk management tools for the energy, retail, agriculture and aviation industries.

Prior to Storm Exchange, Smith was manager of alternative investments at CME Group. He was ran day-to-day operations of the CME weather products from 2001-2007. He worked on launching new products, educating customers, handling client management issues and working on special projects that helped improve trading efficiency and market data transparency.
