Welcome

Welcome to  John J. Lothian & Company, Inc., publisher of  the John Lothian Newsletter and Environmental Markets Newsletter and developer of MarketsWiki.

The John Lothian Newsletter is a daily email aggregation of news and commentary about the global exchange traded derivatives, securities, environmental and related OTC markets.  It is offered on a voluntary pay basis, which means that if readers find the newsletter valuable, they are asked to pay for it.  This format empowers readers to freely  share the news and information they receive with friends, associates, customers, prospects and others who they believe would find the information helpful.

The newsletter was created in 2000 as a viral marketing experiment, and it worked.  In 2003, John J. Lothian & Company, Inc. was launched, the newsletter officially named and the voluntary pay format established.

In 2006, John J. Lothian & Company and veteran futures industry reporter Jim Kharouf  launched a second newsletter focused on the burgeoning environmental markets.  Environmental Markets Newsletter is a daily email newsletter, sponsored by environmental exchanges, brokers, and dealers that helps readers learn about the fast developing environmentally related markets.  EMN includes a full copy of the John Lothian Newsletter.  It is available on a subscription only basis, with a 30 day free-trial.

On January 11, 2008, John J. Lothian & Company, Inc. launched  MarketsWiki.com, an online open source encyclopedia powered by paid subscribers of the newsletters and supported by leading exchanges, technology providers and other industry participants and vendors.
